MUSIC VIDEO: Nike Nando - The National Asshole

This record is dope to me because I love Dilla beats. It's a little disappointing that I won't have the chance to work with one of the greatest hip-hop producers EVER but...I'll just keep going in over his instrumentals. This video was shot by my homie Shaq P.
Shoutsout to 2dopeboyz for showing love and posting it.

Late night/early morning inspiration: Kanye West - "Runaway" & Lil' Wayne's PSA

I am a lover of all things positive and creative. Musicians to me are the greatest people to influence others because of our ability to capture a emotion and express it in song. Sometimes we get a bad rap because we are all simply misunderstood. I believe the greatest PEOPLE of all time have be in some way, shape or form crazy. From Andy Worhal and his abstract ways of conveying art, Muhammad Ali for striking fear in his opponent before they step into the ring by saying what round he would knock them out in to Kanye West and his random outbursts in public places, all of the greats have something in them that makes you remember them for ever making them immortal. I wanna share some videos w/ you guys that I've watched and that I'm sure you probably have. If your looking for a little inspiration here you go.

Lil Wayne's PSA. Now some of you see this and may think it's bullshit...some of you have different opinions. I believe Lil' Wayne is a genius. And this is what I grew up on so I will always support him no matter what. He's kinda scared me away w/ some of the things he does at times but this PSA let's you know his heart is in the right place with his intentions.

Kanye West - Runaway (Movie)
This is the reason I want a MPC. I use to see Judah's in his old studio off St. Barnabus Rd. where Wale recorded tracks for "100 Miles & Running" (Shoutsout to Judah & Goodbully). The 1st time I met Judah he was making the beat for "Please Listen" when I came to the studio. He buzzed me in, and a scared as fuck young me went up into that studio so eager to learn and get knowledge from a guy I've looked up to for soooo long.

Anyways, this movie hardly makes ANY sense to me. I just think it's hella dope and Kanye is one of my favorite rappers so I just STFU, watch and learn something new every time. Just trying to perfect my craft, you know?

For the record and little known fact:
WTT was released under Roc-A-Fella Records. NOT Roc Nation AND Ye is still signed to the ROC.

You probably don't care but I found that weird and thought I would share it. lol.

The NEW Atlanta

A lot of Atlanta rappers have been getting my attention lately. If you thought that whole ATL movement was over I think your DEAD WRONG. One of my fav southern rappers (and the dude who supposedly introduced Lil' Wayne to syrup) Titty Boy bka 2 Chainz has been around for a HOT min. He use to run w/ Luda and DTP back in the early 2000's when ATL started to take shit over. Now he's back around and killing shit waayyyy harder than he did when he was w/ DTP.
This song "Riot" is one of my fav joints he has out right now. Shit just goes. If you don't think so you ain't a real nigga. lol.

Check it out doe. Shit is dope.
His mixtape T.R.U. Religion drops today on livemixtapes so check that out and judge for yourself. If you think he is ass you can go on me via twitter. (Which I HIGHLY doubt because this nigga is fucking DOPE.)

Another guy I fuck w/ is Future (Not to be confused w/ Phil Da Phuture from 368) I had NO idea he was on the "Racks" record...I was browsing and looking for new music and I came across his shit and the rest is history. My favorite mixtape from him is "Streetz Calling" that joint goes. S/O to S.A. for getting me hip. He knows ALLLLLL the good new rappers on the low...well the good TRAP rappers. lol.

I was smacked when I first saw the video for "Tony Montana" and I was like, "Yo....these niggas HAD to spend 2 million on this video." If you watch it you might say the same thing...or I was just tripping because I was smacked. lol. Either way these ATL niggas are about to be a PROBLEM in 2012. Jeezy back on his shit HEAVY and he's not playing either. I know TM103 won't disappoint. But that's just MY opinion...what's yours?

If you know me you know I got a thing for GOLD and this really does it for me. This is a MUST HAVE. Hopefully I'll be the owner of one of these SOON. Ha!

Back off hiatus...well...sort of.

Now, I know you are wondering.....

But I have a VERY good explination. Thank you to those who still follow the music and still show support. Just alot of personal things have been going on so I had to take time to my my personal shit straight...

Anyway, I'm back to tell you what's been going on if you don't follow me on twitter, don't have a twitter, don't have a facebook or whatever...I've been working on music and doing features just to perfect my craft and get better lyrically. I don't feel like I'm truly at a point where I can be my BEST so I wanna take time away and do that for you all.

I've been listening to A LOT of new music latley...Kendrick Lamar (LATE), Frank Ocean (KINDA LATE), 2 Chainz, Wale (ALWAYS), Black Cobain, etc. Just listening to these dudes make say to myself, "Nando...cuz you need to step it up." I honestly feel like it's something missing from what I do. Like I'm so close and it's so reachable but I gotta be patient and slowly come into it. (Pause)

If your late...I dropped a project entitled, "October Tenth". It's a EP/Mixtape (4 Songs + 1 BONUS song)
If you haven't had a chance to listen to it here's a LIVE STREAM so you can check it out. Unfortunately, the bandcamp downloads exceeded the number of downloads I can use and you have to pay ONLY from the bandcamp so we made another link so you can get it for FREE HERE.

On the project I said that this will be my last project until my next album drops in 2012 and it will be called, "Perception Is Reality"....2012 true...."Perception Is Reality"...FALSE. I'm gonna come up with a different title for my next album. I'll keep you guys updated in the next few months on that. I AM however working on features w/ ANY artist that I think is dope and wants to collab with me. So far I have done stuff with Era Hardaway, Octavion X & Tim Porter of Suburban District (RVA WHADUP?!) and a few others you will just have to find out later...ha!

As far as shows...Everytime I'm out...I'm asked, "When is your next show gonna be???" I don't know at the current moment. I'm on a SLIGHT rest period AND I can't seem to make certain moves due to politics...The one thing I hate MOST...But as soon as I DO have a show I will let you ALL know.

BUT...If you would like to BOOK me for any shows, to host parties or anything else shoot a email to:
Nando.Booking@Gmail.com, please.

You still LOOOOVEEEE DMG, right? I know..
Well, Quis has dropped a new project...it's called "QuisaDilla" you should check it out. I have a record on there with him and I'd like to think it's quite fucking AMAZING. So do that. The link to do so is HERE.
